Maroon, leather like material covers the banquette. Behind one end is a lighted open niche for displaying art. Below the niche is a touch latch compartment for stereo equipment. The rounded wall edge between the banquette and built in stainless steel refrigerator soften the boxy lines, and the chrome pedestal and table edge reflect the dinner time.

Two electric ovens sit side by side under the peninsula’s granite topped counter. Easy care granite, wood, and stainless steel counter tops make the expansive peninsula as hardworking as it is attractive. The counter surfaces are suited to a variety of meal preparation activities.

How this kitchen functions is just as important as how it looks. Each work center includes its own sink, oven, and cooking surface. Both sinks have disposals, making it easy to discard food waste, and a shared waste shoot is set into the stainless steel counter to further facilitate quick cleanup. Two full size ovens are set side by side so that there’s always plenty of oven space, unlike stacked ovens, these can be accessed simultaneously.
Across the corridor, French doors and tall casement windows bring in natural light. Electrical lighting includes a variety of track and under cabinet halogen lights along with recessed down lighting.
